Professional Technician Training

The technology of today is advancing at a very rapid pace and effective employee training is crucial in keeping pace with these changes.
NEBR has developed a progressive, incentive-based training program to offer our technicians the opportunity to continue their training and education to advance their careers and keep abreast of current industry standards. This path will also serve as a guide for each employee as to when they will become eligible for advancements related to their salary, upon completion of each classification. We feel that a well-trained workforce is integral to the success of NEBR and to maintaining our high level of service to our clients.

Body / Paint
NEBR paint and body technicians must complete and pass courses in Commercial Transportation Finishes for both Axalta and PPG products. These courses give the technicians the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to properly prepare substrates to use a product line of commercial and fleet transportation finishes.
The objective of these courses to ensure that each tech understands the refinishing basics has the ability to set up and use spray equipment and control tool, property identifies substrates and related pre-treatments and uses color retrieval tools. Upon completion of these courses, the certified technicians will be able to:
- Understand how to work safely in their shop environment
- Perform proper application techniques associated with the products
- Recognize and use a variety of fleet spray equipment
- Proper preparation of the various types of substrates
- Develop a system of undercoats and topcoats
- Understand how to successfully blend a variety of topcoat systems
Structural Trained Technicians
All welding is performed by an AWS certified welder following our best practice guidelines for the affected area. All structures being repaired will be inspected and repaired using appropriate prepping materials, filler wires and shielding gas to ensure the quality of the repair.
