NEBR will work with the OEM to establish a Min/Max level to have in stock until the completion of the project. NEBR can leverage its working relationship with the OEM’s involved in this project to prepare for any lead times that might be in place for particular parts/components. NEBR will be in close contact with the OEM’s the day of the award to put in the process these orders. As it pertains to the as-needed Parts/Components, and upon the approval given by the MBTA Inspector, NEBR will utilize the Stock Parts/Components to install on the vehicle. The NEBR Procurement Specialist will monitor the stock levels and adjust accordingly to the use during the project. Each MBTA bus will have a designated Kit that will contain all of the parts necessary to complete the vehicle overhaul. This will allow NEBR to maintain strict, well-organized inventory controls. Access to this area will be limited to the NEBR Procurement and QA teams respectively as well as the MBTA Inspector.
