Through our years of experience with alternative fuel buses we have developed a very strict and detailed preventive maintenance schedule. These schedules, which exceed manufacturers’ recommendations, have contributed to components performing beyond their expected life. The NEBR preventive fleet maintenance programs ensure that all components are working together efficiently and according to specifications, so the asset can be cost effectively operated to its expected life cycle.
As shown below NEBR goes above the industry standard in combining “A, B, C Programs” in one Preventative Fleet Maintenance Inspection. In doing so this allows all vehicle components to be inspected thus reducing down time and the need for future unscheduled inspections.
These inspections are completed on a 300 hour or monthly (whichever occurs first) basis by a trained and well qualified technician who is well versed in every aspect of the vehicle. By keeping this vigorous PM schedule, the vehicles historically have shown a higher in service rate and perform to their highest efficiencies.
